On Friday, 8 February the National Citizen Service will be at Trinity to launch their scheme to our Year 11 students.
Trinity Catholic College is a big advocate of NCS and actively encourages students to get involved.
NCS is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity during the summer break that enables 16 and 17 year olds to take on new challenges and build skills for work and life.
Year 11s at Trinity Catholic College can now book their incredible summer experience with National Citizen Service (NCS).
Almost 500,000 teens have taken part in NCS – and next summer will see your opportunity to boost your CV, college and future university applications/job applications and have an unstoppable summer.
With NCS, you will:
✔ Develop vital skills for life and work
✔ Meet incredible people and have fun
✔ Spend time living away from home
✔ Challenge yourself and grow in confidence
✔ Make a positive impact in the community
✔ Achieve things you never dreamed possible
✔ Broaden your horizons and unlock new opportunities
During the summer, your NCS journey will begin with four nights, five days of outdoor adventure in the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales or Scottish Borders. The residential is jam-packed with exhilarating activities that will make you feel unstoppable.
After two days off you will come away on another four night, five day residential, experiencing independent living, and spending time developing new skills ready for work and life.
Finally you get a chance to put everything you’ve learnt into action. Together with your team, you will create a project that makes a difference in the local community.
At a celebration event you will be awarded with a certificate of completion signed by the Prime Minister that can really help you stand out.
NCS is open to 16 and 17 year olds. Places will never cost more than £50 (or £10 for those eligible for free school meals), which includes the two residentials, transport, food, training, activities and more!
