Y7 Netball Successful Start!

Trinity Year 7 Girls’ Netball Teams have made a very promising start to the season with their first competitive matches.  Our Year 8 intrepid match reporters for both games were Emma, Mia and Layla.

“Trinity A defeated Macmillan A 10-0 in their first competitive match as a team on Tuesday evening, 13th November. Phenomenal team performance and effort!  Rose and Paige were our excellent shooters, scoring 50% in their first half and 75% in their second. Kayden made some fantastic interceptions to ensure the opposing team didn’t get the opportunity to shoot. Olivia and Lilia helped to bring the ball down the court, whilst Zara and Jocelyn performed some brilliant feeds into the circle. Rose McCarthy was awarded the well-earned player of the match; well done Rose! Coaches’ player of the match goes to Zara for her wonderful interceptions and fabulous passing.”

“In Trinity B’s well fought match against Macmillan B, also on Tuesday evening, Trinity once again took the victory: 9-0. Fantastic all-round effort!  Defence were outstanding, with Poppy, Erin, Olivia, Abigail and Evelyn all assisting with play. As with the A team, not a goal was conceded! Charlie and Lily worked brilliantly together as Centre and Wing Attack, feeding balls into the circle to Mia, Molly and Layla, who had excellent shooting stats. Well done Charlie for being awarded Players’  Player of the Match and to Mia for getting Coaches’ Player of the Match – well deserved girls!”

We look forward to watching the year 7 netball squad progress throughout the year; keep it up girls!
